Pizza Update

As I continue to live between Illinois and Maryland, eating out is a frequent activity especially when I'm in MD. This is entirely to my taste even considering the calorie overload. I discovered Pizza CS the other day when using Google to look for lunch spots near my office. I really like this little place near Fuddruckers off Halpine and Rockville Pike. I've gone back 5 times now. It's a no-frills Neapolitan-style pizzeria that is quite excellent. The pies are suitably blistered, chewy, and soggy in the center. On a scale of my personal experience where Two Amys and Serafina Fabulous Pizza are at the top and Pizzeria Antica and Dragonfire Pizza are at the bottom (there are lots of other possible comparisons that I'm not mentioning including any of the standard Top 10 pizza places you find in glossy magazines), I'd say that Pizza CS is close to the upper end. The rear of the restaurant is less interesting, it's a bit dark and sometimes has noisy kids running around but it's no-frills and doesn't cater only to the wealthy people with plastic surgery who infest Two Amy's for example. Overall, excellent pizza, nice people, good value for money, and I'll keep going back.

Hanks Artisan Pizza in Portland Oregon is a winner btw.
